The name of a tree species found in northern Laos, in the Vang Vieng area up to Sop Hao; this tree has green leaves resembling those of the 'ຜັກສະເມັກ' plant; its bark can be used to make pickled fruits, spices, or to flavor food. Chinese and Thai people often use this wood to add spice to dishes.
