A large four-legged reptile that lives both on land and in water, resembling a lizard or monitor lizard, with a bump on the head called 'khi mak kai'; it is a fierce carnivore that eats meat and fish, and is known regionally as 'eekhae', 'jikhae', or 'eekhe'.
